Donations

In 2004, we received donations to purchase 11 picnic tables, which were placed in the Grove for public use.  We also received donations to purchase 5 park benches, which will be installed this spring around the station and Grove area. 

In 2005, we are using grant money received from the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, along with a portion of our own funds, to rewire the electrical system and replace the missing wood floor in the freight room.   We have applied to other sources for grant monies to help us complete additional projects this year if possible.

Current renovation needs are:
-to restore the large bay window in the center of the station;
-restore the exterior lighting & “gingerbread” roof decoration;
-replace the “Holsopple” signs at either end of the station;
-replace the exterior doors (current doors are temporary doors);
-install a furnace for heat in the station, allowing us to use the building all year round
